Eunsuk Hur is a textile designer who creates interchangeable modular systems of textile pieces that can be transformed by the user to create a new piece of clothing or interior accessories which promote sustainable design. Each piece can be put together in a variety of ways allowing the user freedom of design with playful experimentation, creating different outfits that are emotionally durable and multifunctional.   She uses  laser cutting and a variety of printing processes; such as sublimation printing on wood, acid printing on wool felt and etching onto leather.
She produces drawings and studies on themes of growth, transformation, regeneration, plants, animals, insects and invertebrates.  “These studies of nature allow me to create many different styles of drawing for my personalised printing design and give me structural ideas which I can use to produce modular systems.”
Hur graduated in 2009 from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with a degree in MA Design for Textile Futures. Her final year project was selected for the CSM Contemporary Collections and also for the Casamica Talent Scouting in Salone Satellite at the Milan Salone del Mobile, 2009.
